Kolkata : Victoria Memorial, frozen in time

I visited Kolkata in 2023, and the city left a very different impression on me. With my iPhone 13 in hand, I spent my time exploring its streets, historic buildings, ghats, and everyday life, trying to capture the character of the city through my photographs.

From the grand Victoria Memorial and its beautiful architecture to the iconic Howrah Bridge, Kolkata felt like a place where history and modern life exist side by side. The old colonial buildings, yellow taxis, trams, busy markets, roadside tea stalls, and the energy of the streets gave every frame something different.

What I enjoyed most was that Kolkata wasn't only about its famous landmarks. It was also about the small moments — walking through unfamiliar streets, watching life unfold around me, discovering local food, and simply taking in the atmosphere of the city.

These photographs are my little collection of those moments from 2023 — captured simply on my iPhone 13, but carrying memories that still feel special.

Kolkata — where history lives on, and every street has a story
