Everyone goes to Goa for the season everyone else goes to Goa, which is exactly why I didn't. I showed up in the shoulder months, when half the beach shacks were still boarded up and the ones that were open had nobody to serve but me and a handful of fishermen.
Mornings were for walking the tideline before it got hot, afternoons for doing absolutely nothing under a palm tree, which is a skill I didn't know I had until Goa forced me to learn it. The beaches here don't need a crowd to be good — if anything, they're better without one.
